Research Spotlight

Curious about how textile‑derived micro‑ and nanoplastics may contribute to the development of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, and how natural neuroprotective compounds could help mitigate these risks?

Our team has recently conducted a critical review exploring the pathways through which these emerging contaminants can reach the human brain and potentially trigger neurodegenerative processes.

In collaboration with Deakin University and Kyung Hee University, we are proud to share that our critical review article has been published in ACS Publications, Environmental Science & Technology, one of the leading journals in environmental science.
